Willow & Daisy Dolls Clothing

w&d ofI was just asked a question about the Willow & Daisy dolls clothing.   Thought some of you may be interested in this information. Doll Artist Doug James designed these Mod dolls for the  L. L.  Knickerbocker in the late 1990″s. They were called the Mod British Birds. The clothing for these dolls were wonderful mod fashions from the 60′s – 70′s.

Q.       Will these outfits  fit the Tonner Sydney doll body or other fashion dolls?

A.        Willow and Daisy outfits will fit several of the 15-16″ fashion dolls.  I have had several of these outfits on the original Tonner doll bodies and they have fit fine.  Several of these mod fashions are loose fitting through the waist line, such as dresses with A line skirts and empire waist lines.  Since these are not tight fitting they will adjust well to the small differances in other dolls measurements. I have had some of  these outfits on Gene and they also work well. Gene just steps a bit into the future when she wears these fashions. I have found that the fashions tend to always fit Ellowyne and the Joe Tai 16″ fashion dolls. However the Willow and Daisy shoes do not fit many of this size doll. Some of the taller dolls who will tend to have larger feet can wear them.  All the 15-16″ dolls seem to have just a bit different measurement either in the bust, waist or hips. But many of these dolls are able to share clothing depending on the cut of the fashion and the fabric.  The stretchy fabrics and the looser fitting styles will help in  exchanging cloths with more of your dolls and their friends.

Hope this information has been of help to you. I would like to hear about your experiences of exchanging clothes among your dolls. We all like to find new dolls to wear the wonderful pieces we purchase.

My Christmas Dolls

more christmas dolls 005Christmas day is almost here.  As a child I was so excited just before Christmas. The things I remember the most about these childhood Christmases was Going to Grandma’s and Grandpa’s house and getting that wonderful new doll  from Santa.  I looked forward to it for months just dreaming about how it would look. They were never expensive but I did not care I loved them just the same. Unfortunately I do not have any of my childhood dolls now but I do have dolls. Lots of dolls.more christmas-dolls-013

I would love to hear some of your stories of Christmas and your dolls. Please share.

All About Delilah Noir

I have been having fun with my vinyl BJD, Delilah Noir. She has a very pretty face and she can have many different looks by just changing her eyes, wig and clothing.
For those of you that like to sew for your dolls or just like to change the look here is some helpful info about  Delilah Noir.
1) 16″/41cm Vinyl Material
2) Eye size: 10mm-12mm

4) Exact head size: 6.5 “/16.5cm
5) Shoe size: 50-55mm Narrow width
6) Exact foot measurement is47mm long,20mm wide, need to add 5mm to that, so a 52mm shoe would be perfect if you can find such a thing. 50mm can be a bit tight but with soft material can work, harder materials the 50mm might not be big enough.

Welcome to the Stella’s Treasures Collectible Dolls Blog

Here I hope to chat with my website visitors about my experiences in the world of collectible dolls as well as share exciting news about up and coming collectible dolls as I get it. Once I get this technology figured out it is my goal to have an interactive relationship with my website and blog followers so that I can become your primary source of collectible doll knowledge and we can have fun finding new collectible dolls and doll related items together!

Now that my shop is strictly “online” I hope to learn how to transfer the fun I used to have with my customers into this medium. I have many ideas such as “virtual doll events” where we “gather together” here on the web like we used to in the old days at my shop in Beaverton.

My webmaster tells me that I can have an entire “online community” just like I had at the shop but it will be even better because people won’t be limited by where they live and travel restrictions!

Soon we’ll open up the “commenting” tools on this blog – I look forward to hearing from all of you!
